I like how the one Sanguinary Guard is wearing Mordred's half-masked helm from "Excalibur".
This whole little unit looks so cool; great bits and a smashing paint job.

Sanguinary Guard actually had use for those wings. They used to guard Sangunius, but he was too fast to fly away from them, so they got those wings to somehow help them to keep up with him.

Character development is a thing, Gabriel Seth admitted later after Devastation of Baal that he was simply wrong about Primaris. Once they started angsting over drinking people and killing Horus too, he was completely fine with them.

Glad you’re painting a son of Sanguinius! Flesh tearers need more love. Seeing that Seth model makes me wish I started with flesh tearers, but I play BA.

I love the duality of men.
When the Sanguinary guard came out in 5th edition: "Man those look stupid. Those wings are so silly".
The new Sanguinary guard coming out in 10th edition: "Man, those suck! Where wings"-

I'm still running my Seth model as a captain, We are Wrath. Also Seth's old model had stubs of wings attached to to his ppwerplant, a small detail that's very easily overlooked

One of those Sanguinary Guard heads is just Mordred from the Movie "Excalibur". I approve. Love that movie.

Love that shield with the faces and the guards’ heads are also great, not to mention those awesome jump packs! Also, the firstborn sanguinary guard are SO much better than the new guys who are just gold jump pack marines. Really wish I had a Flesh Tearer army now; just a BA one in works, lol.

I think the Sanguinary guard were a clear misstep. I thought they had figured out a nice balance between sleek tacticool and more medievial looking stuff with things like the bladeguard vets and sword brethren. If there's any place where practical concerns should be eschewed for more drip, it's ancient ceremonial guardians

Awesome job! Greytide Studio is doing amazing work by turning out the extra bits GW has decided to eliminate from their range. The Sanguinary Guard look so much better with wings and those winged jump packs from Greytide are simply superb.

Honestly? Put those Backpacks on the new GW models, and they would be FAR better looking. Maaaybe some greenstuff nipples, because Nipplegate is a thing, but still. Those backpacks look like they would be PERFECT for the new Sang guard. I do still like their sculpted armor.

I love the tasteful homages to the old successor chapters that James Workshop used to support! Its awesome to see some new life and love going to the old classics. I was just wondering how you would feel about giving some love to the orc hating cousins of your black templars, the crimson fists! its really made me a bit sad to see the better blue boys fall to the wayside and I would LOVE to see how you would reimagine Pedro Kantor or Alessio Cortez!
