This method works a treat. I started to get mould after 4-5 days and changed paper towel with a little less water and kept them under the sink instead of in a humid sunny room. And they germinated within a couple of days! Just planted them in soil then!

this method work a lot better than just plant them in soil. I put the wet paper towel bag on top of my computer and the seed germinated after 5 days, growing 0.5-1 inch root. Thank for the video

Terrific method. Tried it with Aji Pineapple seeds and Scotch Brain seeds. 5 days later and all of the Ajis have all sprouted along with 1 of the Scotch Brains. Not too surprising, hotter chillis take longer. Will check back in another few days.

I just bought 50+ red habanero seeds from ebay and trying to germ 15 of them using this wet paper towel method. I hope it works :)

I tried this. My seeds germinated nicely. I waited to have them bigger sprouts and they caught fungus. I had few seeds without fungus and almost all of them gave me small plants. Thank you 😊

My seeds germinated in 6 days
I didn’t keep the ziplock bag in sunny area it was just shady place
Do I need to keep bag in sunny area
I planted them in pot now they are one inch plant with two leaves each in10 days

Can I germinate any seed of flower or vegetables like this

I'm trying this method right now with approx fourteen Carolina Reaper seeds =) i've done this method a few times now with different chilli seeds and one thing i've learnt is the higher the humidity inside the ziplock bag the faster the seeds will germinate. once you seal the ziplock bag the humidity will rise very quickly but if it maintains itself up near 100% you're cheerin' should have sprouting seeds within 72 hours tops (give or take depending on the variety).

I took some seeds from a raw chilli I'd prepared for a pizza and used this method.
I just put the bag on a window ledge inside my house that gets plenty of sunlight each day.
Six days later the seeds germinated - little white tails.
I've put them into pots / potting mix now and we will see how it goes

Am trying this method with three different types of chillis and was a bit antsy at first. I believe that this is day 6 or 7 and most of my hallows eve have sprouted! one of my reaper seeds as well :) now im just waiting for the rest and for the pimenta de neyde to do its thing, hopefully.

Straight from the chilli is fine. They will germinate faster than dried seeds.

I'm gonna try this on my Home Chillis that are dying of old age I don't know the names but the First one is shaped like a small tomato and the other heart shaped, Thanks for the info ☺
