I love that the biggest recurring theme of the Mamma Mia movies is that family comes in lots of shapes. Found family sisters and aunts (the Dynamos), Sophie's three dads, Fernando the 'grandfather before he was potentially revealed to actually be the grandfather', and then Sofia, the old woman who took care of Donna during her pregnancy, essentially an adoptive mother or grandmother.
