Does crimping seal the wire enough to protect against water? From what I understood it's only crimped at the center and I'm just recalling how crimping works for PEX B piping and poly B as I'm thinking about this.

I know in this video a lighter was used for the heat tube method. I believe a heat gun can also be used for this purpose. Will that lead to a better result which is lasting?
