Ashley, just to clarify...Chaka Khan was the lead singer of the band Rufus, and they started cranking out hits in the early 70s. In 1978, she put out her first solo album, featuring the hit, "I'm Every Woman." Between 1978 and 1983, she alternated between recording solo albums, and continuing with Rufus. Since 1984, she's recorded exclusively as a solo artist. This was from the 1983 album, "Stompin' At the Savoy, " and was her final hit song with Rufus, so TECHNICALLY, this should read as by "Rufus featuring Chaka Khan."
