turns out this is a cover so credit to the cover vocalist for the playing and credit to halsey for the lyrics and stuff

the lyrics are different from the normal version of colors, which is why its marked alternate lyrics. so don't try to sing the normal version with these lyrics.

I actually heard this cover of the song before I heard the actual song. So when I heard the actual version of the song I didn't like it nearly as much as this. But now I love both songs.

I was obsessed w this version of colors for a long time before Halsey officially released Colors on Badlands and I was so disappointed w the way it was produced and mixed. This song is so authentic and vulnerable and pure poetry and it felt like she was hiding behind the mix and the auto tune. why make something so alive so tech sounding?
