GENDARME is a massive castle rock-like mountain. If you look at it closely, it resembles a guard tower of a castle. Definitely, a sought-after goal for a lot of hiking enthusiasts in Japan, and our main objective for this hike. We will also traverse UMANOSE and stand on top of the 3rd tallest mountain in the country, MOUNT OKUHOTAKA.
