U.S. fighter jet shoots down unidentified object over Alaska

The White House has confirmed that a U.S. military jet shot down an unidentified object roughly the size of a small car off the coast of Alaska. A National Security Council spokesperson said the object posed a 'reasonable threat' to the safety of civilian flights.
