I live in Venice, The Caltrava Bridge may be not accessible for people on their wheelchair, but it guarantees all the others who can walk to have one after crossing it whith rain

'We're slightly baffled' is the most British protest slogan I could possibly think of

What you called "waste collection boats" it's actually a hotel sheets & towels delivery. Waste collection boats are all green and each one has one compartment for recyclable and one for unrecyclable waste.

I was waiting for a silver lining to this story, but there was none. It's just a 4 minute roast of a bridge

I cross that bridge almost every day, it's an architectural and aesthetic disgrace, not to mention the lack of access for the disabled, which is unforgivable.

It's very surprising how Venice is thriving with no cars . One of the most amazing cities in the world.

Hi, I live in Venice, and I can tell you that the Calatrava bridge is as strange as it is hated by the Venetians. It was poorly designed and requires continued maintenance and waste of money. Furthermore, in winter it becomes a deadly trap, due to the glass steps, which become slippery with humidity. I love Venice and I love living there, but the Calatrava bridge is the only thing I would change about her.

I didn't mind that bridge at first, it's located on the more modern part of the city after all. After the 10th time I almost slipped for no explicable reason, I completely changed my mind.

An out of place glass bridge with an out of place Jules Verne cocoon lift...weird flex

Really enjoy your channel. Such a treat to see your work! Loved the postcards and how genuinely kindly you acknowledged the participants, very, very cool! Thanks again, from Lemont, Illinois.

I curse the very existence of this bridge everyday going to class. The ball lift is still there, still not functioning

I once crossed this bridge and wondered since then what this weird sphere that reminded me of a bubblegum vending machine was. Thank you.

I crossed that bridge last year with luggage to get from the train station to a tram that takes passengers to the cruise ship docks. It's location is absolutely essential. Cruise ships are big business in Venice & getting to where they are after arriving by train would be crazy without that bridge. The design is weird though, since many of the people using it are pulling rolling luggage up & down those silly steps. Textured pavement would have made a lot of sense instead of slippery glass steps.

When I went to Venice, the Rialto bridge was having repairs done to it. Thankfully we could still walk across it, but was slightly disappointing to not be able to see the most famous Venetian sight without scaffolding covering every inch of it

I truly never know what I'm going to learn about with each video I click, but each time I learn something so new and thank you!

*smh* but also really love the part where people didn't know what to pick and then ended up liking the temporary design so they kept it! :D And also love that the whole city was upset about it being dangerous for the elderly and disabled people - way to rally for everyone, just sad that nothing really got done about it. ...
