Answers to Our Voting Questions with Jessica Yellin
Показать описание
Thank you for being brave enough yesterday to ask all of your big and small voting questions -- especially those we think we should already know the answers to.
Former White House Correspondent and founder of #NewsNotNoise, Jessica Yellin, is here to answer our questions.
Today, we get the answers to our questions and more -- please take the time to watch:
1. What is not allowed to happen at the polls -- red flags to look for?
2. What to do if we experience or see voter intimidation?
3. What to do if you (or someone else) is turned away from the polls, or asked to sign a provisional ballot?
4. What signature on file are they using to compare against the one you sign on your ballot?
5. Will I be notified if my ballot is rejected?
6. If we requested and have a mail-in or absentee ballot, do we have the right to vote early and in person instead -- and if so, how do we do that?
7. What kind of pen should I use?
8. If we take a "ballot-selfie" can that really nullify/void our vote?
9. If I skip a question/candidate on the ballot does the rest of my vote still count?
10. What does an official mail-in / absentee dropbox look like? I am hearing about fake ones and I want to make sure I put my ballot in an official one -- how do I find out where the official ones are located or can I just put it in the mail and by when?
11. Will we know results on Election night?
We can do hard things. Like get the answers we need to me more informed, more powerful and more confident that our voice will be heard.

Also: Jessica shared two very important resources in our conversation:
➡️ 1-866-OUR-VOTE. Please write down this Election Protection Hotline (1-866-687-8683) and bring it with you when you vote, in case you -- or someone else at the polls -- needs it.
