Rally Suspension Upgrade - BMW Mini 2007 | Workshop Diaries | Edd China

In this episode, I work with my mate Neil Burgess upgrading the suspension on his 2007 BMW Mini Cooper S rally car. As a former class champion of the British Rally Championship Neil is no stranger to rallying

Whether working on a Nissan Leaf, Toyota Prius or a Tesla, the HV Battery or High Voltage battery is designed to be safe but it can affect how other systems work in the vehicle and it is always better to be safe than sorry. Doing an eMobility course at Bosch Automotive Aftermarket which results in an IMI training qualification could help keep you safe and help your (insulated) spannering career too.

China relishes the upcoming project, which invites viewers into his personal workshop facility in Buckinghamshire.

“I’m really excited to finally be able to bring this project to our fans as it is something they repeatedly have been asking for,” said China. “Workshop Diaries will let viewers really get stuck into the project and the detail of the fixes, and also provide a platform for instant feedback and interaction. It’s an exciting prospect and it’s great to finally get going!”

This show is a stark contrast to other car culture channels on YouTube, that seem to be yelling at you to like, share and buy merch. Full of hype, over the top drama and just willing to show you an end product without getting into the nuts and bolts of a rebuild and its challenges. This channel and Bad Obsession Motorsport. The only two places you really cant wait for content. And Edds channel with high production levels, no camera wobble, or any such things with the camera work. It just soothes the soul. Always.

Can I just say, there are whole parts of the video without background music and I'm absolutely loving that!

Two blokes tinkering with cars while talking about them, such a simple yet highly entertaining concept!
Love this series Edd, do keep it up for us fans!

I suffer from OCD and watching Ed over the years has helped calm me because he goes into detail about things and deals with all the problems. I tend to obsess and catastrophise most things, but videos like this calm me because it illustrates how everything can be fixed. This video is excellent for someone like me. Cheers

I've just spent 40+ minutes watching two men perform bunch of work that I will never have to do in my lifetime and I enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you Edd, (my favorite YouTube presenter), and good luck Neil in your much improved Mini

I like that you don't cut out the parts where you struggle to remove parts. So many shows do that to, save time. You learn so much watching someone else struggle with this.

good to see you putting out these quality videos Edd. I cant believe how much I used to pay for cable for 17 minutes of watered down mini clips with endless obnoxious commercials. This is pure wrenching gold. There's no doubt that you tube will destroy this format eventually. But until then I'm grinning from ear to ear buddy.

If only the strut pinch bolts on my R53 MCS had come out so easily! Snapped like carrots! That Milwaukee rattle gun is impressive.

This channel and other restoration channels shows me how much I dislike background music, there's something so soothing about watching someone work with tools

Wow, 44 minutes just flew by, I could keep watching it until you reassemble everything but all good things come to an end I guess. See you next Friday!

I really enjoyed that, reminded me of the early series of Wheeler Dealers, when it was more about the instructional side of doing the fixes. Keep them coming :-)
