Esme trust me I know the feeling of "Oh I don't know if we should put it up". I free jumped our 13hh pony 95cm and he cleared it like a pro, it really helped his confidence under saddle but I wouldn't worry about it, hes amazing!

Switch the orientation of your watch to your opposite wrist, but still put it on regularly! So the watch face is upside down/the dial is on the other side of it! Then switch the band the other way around too so it’s all back upright for your regular wrist, only with a flipped dial. I did this years ago, working with horses and cleaning stalls and always wearing gloves would ALWAYS activate my watch til I switched sides for the dial lol
