Wow, the FB / old flame situation is SO true. I was in a really horrible marriage for 18 years. The boy I was head over heels for in 1992 used to pop up on "people you may know" beginning around 2009. I knew i could NEVER send him a request bc of the danger involved in a "private friendship". Fast forward to the dissolve of that marriage due to severe drug abuse in 2016...& running into that 1992 old flame in 2017 OUT OF NOWHERE. Today we have been happily married in a Christ-first marriage for four years & we watch Pastor Mark Driscoll DAILY as a part of our studies. God is so good. <3

I LOVE the fact that you two are so honest and show that even the Holiest of people have bad days in a marriage! Thank you! I have no problem chucking the phone in the river. My wife is ALWAYS getting, showing, and sharing grand baby pics. Two of our daughters are Navy brides so I don't have too much of a problem with her phone habits. Bless you two!

“I hate the freaking phone”…I wish I had a dollar for every time I have said that in the last 25 years! I tell my wife and kids all the time, as soon as I retire, I’m going back to a landline and an answering machine and no cell phone! They tell me I’m turning into an old man. Couldn’t agree with you more Mark!

Self control is a fruit of the Spirit. You can leave your phone alone IF YOU WANT TO.
Family time= no phone zone!

This hit very close to home! So very very true, I need to work on how much I'm on the phone myself.

I would probably still be married if my ex wife never got a smart phone.

Pastor Mark, that is a good idea for a short video. Show a family going through a normal day and every notification they would get on a phone, instead be an actual person with a character interrupting their life. To show how ridiculous it actually is.

My wife's phone and TV have replaced me as well. After fighting this battle over 10 years, I'm done. Staying for our 2 young kids and that's all.

The cell phone can be a huge burden. When I leave my home to go shopping or I am driving I want to just do those things. Not be answering calls or texts. So I ignore it.

My husband would take calls outside of work hours with a work colleague which become quite often. He eventually had an affair with this woman and left our children and i after 20yrs of marriage.

I did away with my cell phone I use it w WiFi at home and that’s it less stress of everyone thinking you neeed to answer them right then and time is more intentional

Doesn’t proverbs say it’s better to live on a corner of the roof than with a quarrelsome wife?
