Sek - Bitter Love

Time flies. Sek returns to Lost My Dog after what just feels like a couple of months, but it is actually a year since his Prime Cuts compilation and two years since his last EP for the label.

Those who are already aware of Sek’s work will know what an accomplished producer Dimitris Kesses truly is. Once again this record delivers everything from deep, driving grooves that wear their influences on their sleeves, through to twisted, jacking trax, while the familiar snapping, techno-inspired percussion helps bring energy and an additional punch.

More than “just” a DJ/Producer, Sek is a multi-instrumentalist who describes his music as, “a blend of deep and tech house, always with a raw and abstract sensation/perspective, the dominant ingredients of my life.”

In recent years, the Greek DJ and producer has become one of the regular contributors at Lost My Dog with 13 original tracks. ‘Mirror Mirror On The Wall’ takes that tally to 17 and will be his last for LMD as the label have decided to call it a day after 10 years.

As is often the case when putting a Sek EP together, the four tracks included on ‘Mirror Mirror On The Wall’ are the final outcome of lengthy debates over multiple demos, mixdown revisions and rearranged track orders. All of which is testament to the passion and perfectionist approach that Sek brings to every project.
