If you are on the Ridgid platform and need a one handed recip saw this is a no brainer. The octane series has certainly got a lot of folks attention, time will tell how good they hold up on the job site. If I wasn’t so heavily vested in Milwaukee I would make the leap from red to had some problems with my beloved Milwaukee 18v tools as of late....the latest casualty was my gen3 M18 ONE-KEY™ hammer drill. The first problem was a bad chuck soon followed by the back lighting on the different modes followed by the motor cutting in and out....especially while using the hammer drill. Milwaukee replaced it so we shall soon see how it holds up....come on yellow has been giving me the blues.

Would this handle cutting unistrut when paired with a bi-metal blade, or should I just consider the full sized recip saw for that?
