How to Turn On Control-IQ Technology on the t:slim X2 Insulin Pump

Control-IQ® technology for the t:slim X2™ insulin pump is designed to help increase time in range (70-180 mg/dL)* using Dexcom G6 CGM values to predict glucose levels 30 minutes ahead and adjust insulin delivery accordingly; including delivery of automatic correction boluses† (up to one per hour) as needed. †If glucose values are predicted to be above 10.0 mmol/L, Control-IQ technology calculates a correction bolus using the Personal Profile settings and a target of 6.1 mmol/L and delivers 60% of that value. An Automatic Correction Bolus will not occur within 60 minutes of a bolus that has been delivered or cancelled.

I totally fill insulin cartridge and use until empty. Just change infusion site every three days. My A1c went up on control IQ. Now I turn off during day and only use at night. So far my TIR has been fabulous. 110 is too high for me. I like to run around 90.

The only disaster with this pump is the fact that you can’t disable The sounding alarms for urgent low emptyreservoir and I think low battery. I work in an environment where we are recording the sound and I absolutely cannot have this thing making noise. There needs to be a mode that puts it in vibrate only, meaning absolutely no audio sound.

My problem with putting in the amount of insulin that I take for the day is some times the amount I take changes depending on how many carbs I'm eating that day. So how does that work with the t slim x2?

Two questions:

I’m interested in changing to Tandem. Are comment ( questions really) monitored for a video a few years old?

My current Medtronic pump has a Menu where I can get Total Daily Dose amount. Can I find the TDD somewhere in a menu on the t:slim x2.

After watching the Tandem tutorial I noticed when checking the status screen, the control IQ should say "Active" not "On" if the software is working. Since mine doesn't I'm wondering if I'm missing something.

I have tried to enter how much I weigh in pounds and kilos, but I weigh 45 pounds(Im 9 years old), and it wont let me tap the 4. When I tried with kilos, I couldnt tap the 8 or 9 which was required for me. Please tell me how to enter something that can be accepted to turn control IQ on
