There's a reason the Chevy sells so many of these each year. They are just plain good. Not fancy, but does everything you want it to do, with so little issues. It's a good, reliable, small SUV that people love.

We have a 2019 Equinox with the LT2 trim, basically everything your tester has minus leather seats. But, It has the 2.0 L Turbo with the 9 speed transmission, which is a much more spirited engine than the 1.5. I can say that our Equinox, so far, after 3.5 years of ownership, has been reliable, with no mechanical or electronic issues. It's my wife's daily driver, who is 5'2, and she loves it. It has everything you need in a simple to use package. The AWD works great here in the snowy East Coast of Canada, and has the ability to turn off AWD during the summer months when it isn't needed. Remote start is on the keyfob, not on an app.The rear seatbacks actually have 2 positions, upright and slightly reclined. Thusfar, I would recommend this vehicle. I've had a 2018 LT with the technology package. Heated seats, park assist, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitors, AWD, power lift gate. It's my wife's daily and she loves it. It hauls the whole family of 4 plus dog and camping gear no problem.

I get that it doesn't "wow" you, but in 2018 they would have, they are leaps and bounds better than the previous generation, for which the only reason to buy was GM discounts. The current equinox compares very well against its competitors, RAV4, CRV, ect.

My daily driver is a 2006 Equinox with a V6 that I bought from my company close to two years ago. One thing you can say always say about the Equinox is that it works for a lot of people. Lots of space for everyone and cargo when you need it. Mine is spartan, but everything still works well. I swapped out the old radio for a modern stereo that works well with my Iphone. My wife gets the new car but I am still happy with the old Equinox.

At least it doesn't have a solid drab black interior. I strongly dislike packages see RST pack for Tahoe that force the buyer into a all black interior. Dropping 60k to 70k on such a vehicle should buy a few color options for the interior. I like the color scheme inside of this.

Decent looking mid-size SUV that fits well under its larger, more luxury siblings - It looks like a no nonsense SUV but I personally didn’t love the two tone seats. Not bad given some of the nice features that Chevy has included in this range SUV.

I rented a 2018 Equinox few years the seats were very comfortable, the ride was fine not as smooth like my 2015 Rogue and it did get great gas mileage. When leaving the hotel late Saturday that evening we thought the car was junk until realized had the auto start/stop idle feature though was a nice crossover nothing would spend on buying one rather have Rogue or RAV4 still love GM products this one wouldn't be on the shopping list for a car.

Had one as a lease. They're ok if you simply need transportation on the cheap. No frills and they sound like a tin can inside, but you get what you pay for.

Glad to see reviews of something from Chevy that isn’t a Corvette, Camaro, Silverado or Tahoe and possibly the Colorado ZR2.
I actually like the Equinox. Perhaps because I have a Cruze and I use to sell the Equinox when I was a salesman for a Chevy dealership. But I also worked for a company that took pictures of vehicles and uploaded them on their website. So I have been in multiple brand vehicles. From Ford, Dodge, Jeep, Subaru, VW, Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Honda and I don’t think that their vehicles have a better interior or drastically better interior. Especially at the top end. A top trim Honda CR-V is at that same price point. Yes it has more cargo capacity but not too much else.
If I were to get an Equinox I’d look for the one with the 2.0 liter 4 cylinder. It’s punchier and when properly equipped can tow 3, 000 lbs. If you need something to tow a small trailer of sorts.
A few years ago my brother’s friend tried to rent a truck 🛻 to go hunting mule deer 🦌 in Idaho. Well when he flew into Salt Lake City UT, all they had for him was an Equinox AWD. He took it practically everywhere.

these get a lot of hate from online trolls, but they sell like hot cakes. i believe owners of the vehicles over youtube self proclaimed reviewers and gm hating trolls. i test drove this last weekend and its actually a nice car and drives very well. its not super fast and could use a little more power but thats something a Trifecta Performance tune will easily fix

Nice rig and pretty damn big vs it’s competitors but that interior is awful. And that exterior is what we call a lazy refresh.
