This is a Filipino Liturgical Mass song was written and composed by Fr. Arnel Aquino, SJ, and it was based from Psalm 67. This is an appropriate setting of the Responsorial Psalm for the Solemnity of Mary, Holy Mother of God (January 1), which also includes the Evening Masses of New Year countdown (December 31). This is a Psalm that invokes the mercy and graciousness of God for the coming year ahead. It may also be used as a Communion song for New Year Masses (if this is not used as a Responsorial Psalm), as well as days wherein Psalm 67 is the Responsorial Psalm of the day. Rendering this song is are brother seminarian cantors that sing @ Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Makati, as well as Chapel areas. Credits to the Rockwell Chapel Youtube channel for the original video of the whole Mass.

PSALM 67:2-3, 5, 6, 8

“May God bless us in his mercy.”

May God have pity on us and bless us;
may he let his face shine upon us.
So may your way be known upon earth;
among all nations, your salvation.

May the nations be glad and exult
because you rule the peoples in equity;
the nations on the earth you guide.

May the peoples praise you, O God;
may all the peoples praise you!
May God bless us,
and may all the ends of the earth fear him!
