Hey mr. power to sing, I’m stuck in a bit of a dilemma, so about 2 weeks ago I got the flu and my voice went away for about 5 days since then my voice hasn’t really recovered at all, I seem to talk normal but when I try to sing it comes with like really low power and I’m not able to hit high and low notes I’m used too, also about 3 times I tried to sing and my voice just kept on cracking and sounded raspy and just not bad, I know I’m not the best singer but my voice sounds really different from how I used to be. should I be worried cause I’m pretty worried and really don’t know what to do anymore, thanks

Do you count the REO Speedwagon singer, Kevin Patrick Cronin, as "smooth"? On a track like "I can't fight this feelin'" he sounds very even, and it's a pretty sound. But is it "cheating" on the mixed voice concept by being at that specific mf/mp volume all the way through? Should smooth singers be able to sing loud, or is mp/mf enough, cause of microphones etc?
