The A350 XWB Final Assembly Line: efficiency in motion

preview_player
Показать описание
The A350 XWB final assembly line -- located near Airbus' existing A330 jetliner assembly facility in Toulouse, France -- has been thought out with efficiency in mind to obtain a shorter assembly time and a more effective test programme. When A350 XWB production reaches full capacity, the complete process, from the beginning of final assembly through delivery to the customer, will take two and a half months, which represents a 30 per cent time-saving compared with the other programmes.

I'm loving the aircraft structure based on the recent pictures. The wing looks amazing to me. Can't wait to see it painted with engines on.

you are right..!!!i tottaly agree with you..to be precise Qatar Airways has ordered twenty (20) A350-800s, forty (40) A350-900s and twenty (20) A350-1000s to forty three (43) A350-900s and thirty seven (37) A350-1000s. Qatar Airways’ total order for A350 XWB aircraft remains at eighty (80) aircraft. magical numbers..!!!

as a Commercial Aircraft, yes, Qatar should get the first commercial A350-900 in Q2/Q3 of 2014
but, Testbed first flight(MSN 1) is confirmed for summer of 2013...

AIRBUS quality is in a higher class by its own.

That cockpit looks amazing. It will be tough to beat the 787 though

basically in all of their airplanes they use composites, however, the a350 xwb uses by far the most. especially the entire hull is made out of carbon fibre composite

A number of reason.

1 - Not enough space at Toulouse for the entire family.

2 - Politics. Germany, France, Spain and to a lesser extent the UK, have a work-share agreement.

3 - Boeing's integration process is in many regards, more complicated and spread out than that of Airbus. (Remember, the US is about twice the size of the EU and they still have 787 parts coming from Japan and elsewhere)

Looks like A350 cockpit will have more of a technology yolk stick of a one hand, like the A380.
