We have made it to our 50th and 51st National Parks: Sequoia and Kings Canyon! And although they are two separate parks, they are right next to each other and managed together, making them perfect to explore in one trip. So we spent two days trying to see as much as we could!

🎥 We obtained a commercial filming permit from the NPS to film this video. And all drone footage was shot legally outside of the National Park.
📅 This video was filmed in late May 2024

Thank you for this video. My husband and I and our son used to go to Sequioa and Kings Canyon every year. Now our son is grown and married, and my husband had a stroke a couple of years ago, but this brings back lots of memories. One year, when my husband was fishing in that river in Kings Canyon, he lost a silver pipe that I gave him one Christmas.
Did you know that at one time, Disney wanted to make Kings Canyon into a ski resort. I'm so glad that the plan failed because that place is too beautiful to get commercialized!😊

I have visited many of the national parks that you go to but you always find new parts for me to go back and explore! Love watching your videos!

I remember going there when I was 10 with my dad, and as kid you just don't fully embrace what you are seeing. So beautiful.. Thank you for you videos! I love how this one took me back to that trip :)

I visited Sequoia NP when I was about 10 years old, and I have only faint memories of the visit. So this video really took me back, and made me want to go back soon!!

I love watching your videos. We have been traveling the United States since we retired. We used to do the long hikes, but we can still enjoy them by watching yours. I keep seeing your videos and thinking, “We were there!” or “We did that!” I really would like to pick up a few more places that you’ve gone that we haven’t. Thank you for taking the time (and money) to do the work so you could film in the national parks. I don’t agree with them forcing that and we’ve seen a lot less pictures of NPs because people can’t or won’t do that. I certainly appreciate it.

So glad you came to visit my backyard... Living in Fresno, California, I get to visit all these areas all the time
You definitely have to come back when Kimgs Canyon is fully open and explore the true Sierra trails. 😊

I enjoy visiting national parks in their shoulder seasons before they're so crowded. True, there might be some things you can't do because roads aren't open yet but having trails and views to yourself is pretty awesome. And like you said, you get to do some things you might not otherwise.

So many of the places you visit have been familiar to me. When I saw you were at Hume Lake I remembered back about 20 years ago when my family and I worked for a week at the Hume Lake Conference Center. Your California videos are reminding me that the state has some very beautiful places to see!

Brought back great memories from when I visited both parks back in October 2019! Learning about the importance fire plays for the trees impressed me, too. There was a controlled burn happening when I visited, too. And after I climbed Moro Rock, I found it quite funny that I passed by a Toyota Sequoia (ha!!!) in the parking lot covered in National Park stickers. I said to myself, "I wanna hang with THAT family!!!" Thanks again for sharing!!!! And congrats on wrapping-up the 9 CA NPs (I've just got Channel Islands left on my CA list now)!!

I remember visiting Sequoia for 1 day briefly on a family vacation to the Yosemite area as a teenager, but I didn't realize how much there is to do in both Sequoia and Kings Canyon!! Definitely taking notes for the next time I'm able to travel there :)

We visited back in '96, and my son's family revisited this year. Thatks for reviving old memories.
