Tip 1: Get an amazing team mate like Westie

I've said it before, but I would love to have a solo only DMZ mode. It's a type of game mode I want to sit back and play by myself occasionally, but running into 3 man teams doesn't exactly make it the easiest thing to do. I rarely ever get a nice exfil streak going because of it.

Biggest tip is to play with others and don’t get too greedy. U can always extract and run again.

And check a map for where spawn locations are because u may get spawn sniped

The only few bits I of advice that sometimes work for solo players is:
Pretty basic, I know, but headshots on armored boys will half the time to kill. It's hard in the moment, yet practice makes perfect. Find a favorite weapon with controllable recoil. Start at the upper chest, maybe the neck and the recoil will set you up for consecutive headshots.
Check your corners. If you're in a city, you've gotta take it slower than usual. Cover is vital.
If a gunfight is too much, reposition yourself. They may lose sight of you, and you can get the drop on them from a different angle.
Stealth can be used to take out half the enemies, that way when a firefight breaks out, only five guns are after you, not ten. Takedowns, throwing knives, and suppressors.
Having fun is the most important part.
If you are willing to be friendly to real players and you see them before they see you, you can use the command to ask to join their squad. However this may alert the not-so-friendly players to your location and they may gun for you. High risk, high reward.
And above all else
Drink. Some. Water.

Armor boxes actually provide 6 plates. When dropping an armor box, drop any equipped plates first and make sure you have at least one empty slot in your backpack. When you use the armor box, it will fill your equipped plates and provide an extra 3 plates in your backpack. If you dropped your plates before picking up the box, then you pick those back up.

Holy Mother of God, this guide blew my mind! You are my second favorite player, next to Fugglet. He's absolutely adorable.

The cancel contract thing is super helpful to get a turreted LTV without having to fight the chopper

The UAV, Prox chat, and minimap distance information was very helpful!

Thank you for featuring DMZKeys! We're working hard behind the scenes and also cover dead-drops & player spawns, working on a loot tier list & more upgrades. All open source and made by the community for the community. Legend!

Despite the spotter scope being currently reworked and disabled you can still use it for free 'glint-less' thermal vision. Helpful for marking enemy squads and identifying players from long often useeable ranges.

These were actually good tips. Love the swap insured weapons at end of game and stowing items on vehicle tips

Here's a big tip, you can make your insured weapon a contraband weapon by dropping it, have a team member pick it up then drop it again, and when you pick back up make sure it goes in your secondary slot. To do this just drop both guns at once, pick up your original secondary while holding nothing and it becomes your primary. That way, after you exfil, you can store it as contraband or just build yourself a completely new insured weapon and roll with two amazing guns.

AI can actually show up at that mini gas station but I've never seen more than two be there. Thing is some teams can clear them out just driving by easily so you can hit it numerous times and never see anyone.

I see you covered that contraband insured weapon at the end now but I'm leaving how to do it anyway.... It's extremely useful. You can also stow a weapon in your backpack and I've found that doing this with other operator guns, or even the suppressed M4s that some Tier 3 armor bots drop, is nice for contraband. Suppressors make a huge difference in DMZ, not just for other operators but hiding from bots as well.

Tip number 1. the moment you spawn, run to cover. There are a couple spawn points where you are out in the open in direct line of view of other players spawning, if you know the spawn points and have a good sniper, you can drop a player before they even move from their spawn points. Many players will instantly go to their map to plan out where they want to go, while you are standing there, it only takes a few seconds for someone to snipe you down. I do it and it has happened to me. Spawn, take cover then get into your map.

Quick heads up for tip #14 if you downed with a self revive if you have a team use the self revive till your almost fully revived but don’t use it all the way and you can get saved in 2 seconds by your teammates and keep your self revive as well works every time .. and you can also use the spotter scope to find enemies or other players without hinting them to you location by exposing the rifle glare ping with them a scope and them swap ….awesome video..cheers

Solid tips and some good stuff in the coments too, especially the one about cancelling the self revive at the last minute to make it quicker for someone to revive you. I've seen people I downed get picked up really quickly and wondered how they were managing that.

Also very interesting one about being on the roof vs passenger seat.

My top tip: Always try and take a vehicle to the exfill for the extra cover and the ability to escape if you get outnumbered.

Its amazing! this is how I played the game realizing this weeks ago by myself (because I came from playing a lot of the division games so I got the hung of it quick), I just started watching this vid with tips last weekend and realizing this is why people are starting to play like this and go places and doing stuff that I used to hang and do to be stealth as I only play solo. I wish people get the hang of it soon would be great that you only engage if you're engaged (shoot at). There's no need to be always agressive killing just because.

Good info! I have a ton of time in DMZ and still didn't know everything here. Picking up a hostage contract and just sitting on it until you want to exfil is a pretty genius idea. I've done that for weapon cases, but never for a regular round.

Great video! I’ve watched probably a dozen different tip videos for this game, but this one was by far the best in terms of fresh insights! Awesome content, as usual.

Dunno if this has been mentioned before:
If you have an ammo crate equipped from the start and you find yourself in a longer lasting fire fight you can actually use your ammo crate a second time after using it, by right klicking on the icon in your inventory where it usually sits. You will drop your 'used' crate and you can pick it up again.
