Thanks again for the feature and a nice coincidence to be with Bremoir. Good to see more people interested in this period of watches.

Fantastic I'd go with the Bremoir for its nice balance of minimalism and Art Deco design. The blue and gold color combo just works so well. And also because I designed it. ;-)
Our next watch will be a bit smaller, Tim. I promise!!!

Both watches look awesome. But my hearts stays with Vario. Both the aesthetics and sizing work perfect for me. I also - personaly - am a big fan of Ivan and Judy’s ideas. Have their Versa and a Popeye :) and soon hope to have one more piece

Hi Tim, thanks for the video, always a pleasure to view your offerings. My choice would be the Vario, gotta love that salmon dial.

Just bought the Vario, with the salmon dial. Beautiful. And looks fantastic on the Caseback #1 strap….

That Bremoir looks like it would work on the wrist of Rick Deckard in 2019.

Patrick, please… definitely make exactly same watch just smaller, I’ll be the first one to buy it and take a picture next to the building.

Hi Tim, thank you for showcasing these amazing looking watches. As a fan of Deco myself, I can appreciate an interpretation such as these. There is probably a tightrope of updating, or lets say, refreshing an Art Deco style for a modern taste, of not making it also too cumbersome with a larger size, or an inauthentic aping of the style as well. But not in these cases, althought the Vario did look a bit thickset, I think it pulled it off quite nicely. Especially looks good in Salmon and that strap. And the Bremoir case and dial are just great looking, but it would be better in a bit more compact form.

Two fascinating pieces, Tim.
I particularly like the Vario GMT, with the lovely dial and case, even though they omitted the date complication provided by the 9075 movement (doubtless for design reasons). I have my eye on a Zeppelin with the 9075, available here in Moscow 😮.
Thanks for this review. Cheers 🍻!

I have a Vario Empire 3 hand from the very first batch and do like this one but I won't spend as much as the GMT costs. The Bremoir design doesn't appeal to me and it's also too big for me.

The Vario watch is good but I can't help but feel the watch would not be as strong without the excellent strap pairing. I think it is also too proud on the wrist, as mentioned. The Bremoir is more original but still within that art deco style. I'm not a fan or art deco to be perfectly honest but I respect the adherence and researched design.

They are both beautiful watches although I don’t like the fact that the Bremoir doesn’t have a minute track (if I’m seeing that correctly). I feel this could easily have been added without negatively affecting the aesthetic of the watch.

Ultimately I just don't think the Vario design truly delivers. It's not the most convincing deco, unlike the Empire itself, and for the GMT functionality I get lost in all the black lines everywhere, while that case is just too high. In contrast, the Bremoir is a fascinating piece of design and would be my pick, though I'd agree with you that if not made smaller, I could not consider it. There the blacking reflections from the hands and indices can tamper with legibility. Perhaps a small adjustment to add a different finish or a tiny chamfer would help that. Ideally the case would be reduced in thickness too.

I like the overall design of both watches, however to my taste they are too thick for this kind of style. In my opinion, dress watches of any kind should be as thin as possible. Chunkiness takes away from their elegance.
