huh the Joker in a Box destroying the Marionette Harley is a perfect representation of the relationship of the actual Joker and Harley Quinn

Fun Fact: I'm from the country were the tradition of worry dolls originated. They are a bit different in clothing but everything else is pretty much that. I remember feeling somewhat recognized when I saw that on the screen.

The Mad Hatter has always been one of those villains that outside of BTAS that they've just never found a good way to use outside of the original Alice in Wonderland gimmick. I seriously want to know how did the writers of this show know how to develop the villains into 3 dimensional foils to Batman

The Mad Hatter episodes show why he’s my favorite Batman villain. They’re all good in some way and make wonderful use of him. Plus it helps that his va just steals the show every time he speaks. (looking at you The Trial)

The Worry Men really exist. I used to have a pack of them while I was a kid. They look very different however, being diminute abstract figures made of thread and paper. When I saw this episode I thought: "No way! they're really in a Batman episode!"

I personally really love that weird animation of the hatter, it really gives you something to look at during his monologue and he's so expressive you don't even mind that he's all that's visible for such a long close-up shot. I'm also a big btas jervis fan though so! lol.

I remember this was the first time I was introduced to the Mad Hatter which subsequently gave me a lifetime appreciation for the character as well as an annoyance that he’s not as used/known as the bigger name Batman foes

One thing about Mad Hatter episodes I like is that after his first episode all his appearances are a surprise; usually you can tell right away who the villain is going to be.

I honestly feel kind of bad for the Mad Hatter in this episode. He just wanted to live alone on an island where he can't hurt anyone and can finally live in peace. With how much a crime-ridden shit-hole Gotham city is, I don't blame him wanting to leave it behind forever.

I don't recall the dialogue, but the "over-smooth" animation actually makes the moment feel more deranged!

They should put Mad Hatter in the next Batman movie. After what they did with Riddler, Mad Hatter would fit perfectly in that universe.

I gotta say I was surprised to know that Lavar Burton was in this episode. And after rewatching this I thought the character he was playing wasn't Lucius Fox which would be amazing to see.

I rather enjoy the Mad Hatter. He's definitely a character who could be used in the live-action version of the Batman

I will always be surprised how Bruce performed such a trick at 05:35

I love this episode because of that last sequence at the end when the Mad Hatter quotes Alice in Wonderland when he tries to use a guillotine to kill Batman the ending is really awesome too

Any time an episode of the Mad Hatter in this series pops up (not including TNBA, mind you, because "Animal Act" was bizarre and kind of too silly), you know it's gonna be a good one.

Of course they have the villain costumes. They are working on the first version of Batman: The Musical, which shows up on Batman Beyond.

Also, it always great to see LeVar Burton doing a guest voice. It's like when I found out his co-star Michael Dorn voiced Kalibak on Superman: TAS a few years ago.
