Misleading title. The trade deficit is never mentioned. The current deficits are getting so little attention these days, and that is a symptom of the current monetary malaise with the US dollar functioning as the world reserve currency.. Someday the trade deficit will get the attention it deserves, as it did in the past, and markets will take heed.
