Biden says Queen reminds him of his mother

Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden paid a visit to Windsor Castle to have tea with the Queen on Sunday afternoon, where the US president said that the monarch reminds him of his mother.

The couple were met by the Queen in the Quadrangle of the castle, before entering the castle via the Sovereign’s Entrance.

Mr Biden later told reporters the Queen “reminded me of my mother”. He said: “I don’t think she’d be insulted but she reminded me of my mother, the look of her and just the generosity.”

And the Queen says Biden reminds her of her grandfather.
