If you think about it, all the things Asriel dishes out during his boss fight are essentially things that he thinks are cool.

His speech is like a cheesy villain's, he relies on Rainbow Power, and he takes a form similar to his mom and dad's.

It can be a really tragic reminder that you're still fighting the same sweet little boy that existed before Flowey.

Strangely enough, this is probably the most colorful boss battle I've ever had to face

it took me a while to truly realize the human souls represent the friends you make throughout the game

One of the most tragic "villains" I have ever seen.
