I think you're thinking too much into the whole thing. He was turning away to get off the podium as she went back to face the camera. No awkward moment. All in your head.

Ahahahahah they cut off the awkward bit at the end!! It was such an abrupt ending to the interview, that after when he says 'thank you.' He continues to look at her, she turns away and starts talking to the camera as though he isn't there, he then looks very taken aback and walks off.

[NerdRant]How hard is it to hire interviewers that can convincingly fake being interested in what the people are saying? It's not like it's a new profession. TV's been around for 50+ years. Comic Books for at least 70. For god's sake, there's a million Marvel Fangirls out there that would KILL to have her job and be GENUINELY interested in the conversation.
