I mix a can of canned cat food, 1 can of (cheap) beer, and about a cup of powdered milk. (YUCK! STINKY!) but the flies love it! Divide it between your traps.

Mine didn’t come with the bait packets, what is the best brand to use?

I don't get it. I bought these and found this to see if I was setting up right. Why is the bowl not in the net? It's just underneath the net, so when you put the bait in, they just take what they want, lay eggs and can fly off again. They have no reason to go into the net or anything to temp them into it? What am I missing here 🤔

Has anyone found a way to modify these so the bait is inside the trap like it idk how every trap for anything works. I assumed the bait bowl was inside when I bought it. It’s not. They are trash. I sat outside and watched flies land on the bait and then fly out the side.

The only thing these traps could use to improve them is a zipped to easily empty the bag, and a cover for the bait bowl so it doesn't dry out so fast. I usually just cover it with foil and poke some holes in it.

I used chicken skin and the flies loved it. Better than commercial bait and not very stinky.

Some of you commenters need to read the description of the device - it says 'Does NOT come with bait' !!
For $5/trap - for this effective a trap... just quit complaining. Watch the other videos and read the other comments for bait suggestions, try them, and reach your own conclusions as to effectiveness.
