Lyrics:
I'm remembering I promised to forget you now
But it’s raining and I’m calling drunk
And my medicine is drowning your perspective out
So I ain't taking any fault

Am I honest still? Am I half the man I used to be?
I doubt it, forget about it, whatever
It’s all the same anyways

I ain’t proud of all the punches that I’ve thrown
In the name of someone I no longer know
For the shame of being young, drunk, and alone
Traffic lights and a transmitter radio

I don’t like that when they threw me in the car
I gave your name as my emergency phone call
Honey it rang and rang even the cops thought you were wrong
for hanging up
I dial drunk, I’ll die a drunk, I’d die for you

I’m untethering from the parts of me you’d recognize
From charming, to alarming in seconds
I’ll be bedridden, and I’ll let the pain metastasize
But that’s morning, I’ll forget it

And the dial tone is all I have

I ain’t proud of all the punches that I’ve thrown
In the name of someone I no longer know
For the shame of being young, drunk, and alone
Traffic lights and a transmitter radio

I don’t like that when they threw me in the car
I gave your name as my emergency phone call
Honey it rang and rang even the cops thought you were wrong
for hanging up
I dial drunk, I’ll die a drunk, I’d die for you

I’d die for you

I beg you sir just let me call
I’ll give you my blood alcohol
I’ll rot with all the burnouts in the cell

I’ll change my faith I’ll praise the flag
Let’s wait I swear she’ll call me back
“Son, are you a danger to yourself?”

Fuck that sir just let me call
I’ll give you my blood alcohol
I’ll rot with all the burnouts in the cell

I’ll change my faith I’ll kiss the badge
Let’s wait I swear she’ll call me back
“Son, why do you do this to yourself?”

And I said

I ain’t proud of all the punches that I’ve thrown
In the name of someone I no longer know
For the shame of being young, drunk, and alone
Traffic lights and a transmitter radio

I don’t like that when they threw me in the car
I gave your name as my emergency phone call
Honey it rang and rang even the cops thought you were wrong
for hanging up
I dial drunk, I’ll die a drunk, I’d die for you

It's rare when you find an artist who sounds better live than in the album, this is one of those rare artists. He deserves all the success that's coming to him!

When he stepped away from the mic and let the crowd take it for a line, I genuinely smiled and almost had a tear well up in my eye. I love this kid and want him to succeed so much.

This song is perfect, the lyrics are depressing but it's so upbeat, it's like happy depression and I love it.

I cannot figure out how "I dial drunk/I'll die a drunk/I'd die for you" was never a lyric before this song. That line sounds like it should have been around for decades.

I met Noah in October in 2018, and it was his kindness then that made me the fan I am today. Of course I've always loved the music, but I was in line for GA at the bowery ballroom waiting outside listening to his music when he walked up and introduced himself and thanked me for being there. Every time I've seen him since he's been so incredibly kind, and even though it has literally been 5 years he recognized me at his Philly show in June and even called me Nat. It was truly so unexpected. I've always seen him reaching these heights and I hope he continues to find joy and happiness. Truly a one of a kind artist.

I love how loud they sung along and he was just so happy, he said "we'll do the chorus one more time"

I love that Noah is getting more and more famous. Makes me feel like New England gets more recognition from around the country.

“I ain’t proud of all the punches that I’ve thrown, in the name of someone I no longer know”. My new favorite song lyrics ever. I laughed and cried out loud first time I heard it.
