I remember my siblings laughing towards the end when Truman started noticing the people around him were just actors. And all I remember was feeling so sorry for Truman. He only wanted to escape but was held captive. Reminds me of me trying to escape my dreams but people won’t let me go either. Great movie btw.

I saw this in the theater and it was basically a new paranoia unlocked. After this, I was always paranoid of people watching me without my knowledge. But it's a great movie!

I’m a recovering addict, 4 years clean. But in my active drug use I was on meth in a strange small town I’d never been to before and I started tripping out thinking I was in the Truman show and I was the main character. Jeeze I’m glad those days are behind me. It was a terrifying experience. I thought the whole town was in on it. Lucky I didn’t get thrown in the nut house. I probably belonged there lol. So I can really feel for Truman. Horrible experience

Whats scary is with todays tech that we willingly keep in our homes it would be easier to have all the cameras and mics needed to pull this off w/o him catching on. Could even be of not just a person but a community. I would love to see it remade as a tv series, starting with the company getting to legally do all of this to him, could have so much potential.

They absolutely perfected this movie. It is GOLDEN and one of the best movies I've ever seen. It should be listed as one of the best films ever made in my opinion
