Gervonta 'Tank' Davis (20-0, 19 KOs) reclaimed a world championship for the second time in his career by stopping Jesus Cuellar (28-3, 21 KOs) in the 3rd round to seize the WBA Super World super featherweight title last Saturday night. Although Cuellar is a skilled fighter, he struggled to keep Davis at bay throughout the fight. It became evident from the outset that Davis possessed a significant advantage in punching power, size, and speed compared to the Argentine fighter Cuellar. Typically, Cuellar exhibits greater strength than his opponents, but he was unable to assert himself in this contest.

Remarkably, Davis connected with an incredible 49% of his power shots in last Saturday night's bout, leaving Cuellar with little recourse but to absorb the blows and hope for Davis to tire. With this defeat, Cuellar has now suffered losses in his last two fights to Davis and Abner Mares, putting his once-promising career in jeopardy. Prior to these defeats, Cuellar had appeared nearly unbeatable, defeating notable opponents such as Vic Darchinyan, Jonathan Oquendo, Ruben Tamayo, and others.
