Coming from a military and airline pilot, the fact that you realize that there are restrictions within airspace is a big kudo to you. Unfortunately, many operators think they can fly anywhere and just looking through the multiple how-to demos that blatantly violate many of the overfly regulations easily proves the point.

This was a great video. I've been flying a drone for months, but only recently (1 week ago) got my DJI Mavic Pro. Like you I have been flying all over not realizing where you're NOT supposed to fly. Now I use the flight restrictions on the DJI Go app to see where I can and cannot fly before I drive out there. Also helps to know some basic regulations in regards to drones specifically, just in case your questioned by the law. Always be knowledgeable of the local and federal rules and fly safe.

Russ, I learn so much from you. You present information in real world situations and in simple and in an easy to understand way. I love them. I had no idea about djifly app having video editing capabilities. I made my first short clip, its crap compared to professional ones but I am so proud of it. Moving to the country of Panama, visiting here now, beautiful Mountain town if Boquete. Winds here this time of year blow steady 20 to 30 and get out of nowhere gust to 70 mph. As a novice r/c pilot, I was told when you were flying toward yourself to think of the right stick as a jack to jack up the low wing. This also works with the blades when flying a helicopter toward yourself. It will also work with the lean of a quad as it is facing you. This helped me take all the left/right, right/left thinking confusion out of flying for me. I hope this tip makes sense to you, and maybe you'd like to pass it on to others.

That Histogram really helped me!!!! on the ground is not the same light as in the air, its a great tool when you know what you are looking at...

Good stuff and quite informative.
In Australia, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) have a App available titled "Can I Fly There?" using google maps and your location to let you know if you can fly there! You can also plan ahead and indicate where you're likely to go flying and find it if it's OK. It also list out Drone rules, 7 day weather forecast at point selected and wind direction and speed.
