A Linear Equation in one variable is defined as ax + b = 0 or ax = c, where a, b and c are real numbers. Also, a ≠ 0 and x is an unknown variable.

In the equation = 2a + 6 = a/2
We can also write,
2a + 6 = a/2
= (2a + 6) = a
= 4a + 12 = a
= 4a - a = -12
= 3a = -12
= a = -12/3
= -4

actually, I think the last equation was answered right but was given the wrong solution. Correct me if I'm wrong😉

2a+6= a/2
(transfer 2a to the other side because it has a variable which is a)
6= a/2-2a
6= -3a/2
(transfer 2 with 6)
(2)6= -3a
12= -3a
(divide both sides with -3 so that only a will remain on the right side)
12/-3 = -3a/-3

-4= a

you get:
2a+12=a
transpose 2a
you get:
3a=12
a=4
