you can unofficially upgrade the 2080 to metal gears. everything fits. it costs money to redesign parts to make them not interchangeable. i just did it and it works as intended. need to make sure servo is centered before taking apart and replacing parts, and make sure output gear is in correct orientation like in the video. its a very inexpensive upgrade. might have to set your steering endpoints afterward.

I bought a new traxxas Rustler 4x4 VXL today, played with it for about 3 hours. Then the 2075 steering servo stripped the gears.

Mines stripped for the 2nd time in a row after 5 mins of running in my backyard and hit nothing and maybe hit 1/2 throttle. I think it's factory defective. Kinda mad. Same model too.
