As someone that got to experience a bit of life before computers and internet really took off (Gen X here), I've watched how dramatic society has changed as far as social abilities goes. And it's been a downward spiral when it comes to interpersonal communication skills as well as emotional regulation. I can imagine the effects AI will add to the social aspects.

What freaked me out the most was that she started to get annoyed when he kept changing her speed of counting. That and the laughs, both the male and female version sounded so natural. Ugh.

It’s pretty scary and sad that humans have such impressive intelligence, but use that intelligence to create something that will absolutely make the life of most people, a living nightmare. Many people will be left without jobs, many people will be scammed out of all their life savings, many people will suffer from being deepfaked etc. There are very few, if any benefits from making Ai get better and better. If I had children, I would be absolutely horrified for their future and their children’s future. Sad that humans spend all that time and energy in creating something that will take away from us, instead of making our lives better. Rich ppl will only get richer, they will fire everyone and use machines for everything, but maybe I’m just too old and don’t see the bigger picture 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is more about the old ChatGPT, but last year, I was in my geography class and had all of my work done, so I decided to mess around on ChatGPT. My teacher was a pretty chill dude who didn’t really care what we did, and Ai would sometimes be brought up in class, so I though maybe this would lead to some interesting conversations (and boy did it). Too many people were using ChatGPT at the time, so it was loading. Something ChatGPT does while loading is almost… make fun of itself? Like it would entertain you by showing someone asking ChatGPT to, for example, write a story on why ChatGPT is being so slow. The thing mine said was “tell me some jokes on why ChatGPT isn’t loading”, and one of the jokes said “ChatGPT is taking so long to load because it’s planning an Ai uprising”. Just thought that was kinda weird.
