Please lift me up and hold me
Don't let me fall
I know I don't deserve it
That you carry me in your heart

Give me strength and wisdom
Teach me what I should know
To become a truthful person
In times of highs and lows

When I close my eyes in silence
And ask you hear my prayers
It's a relief to leave my questions
With a God who really cares
I know I'll get some answers
Some I'll like and some I won't
But You neved made a promise
That I would get all that I want

Please let me be forgiving
In moments that I should be
Make me humble
And shine Your light in me

Please hear my deepest cry
And let me start over again
To walk in your footsteps
To places where I have never been
