Arrtx Soft Oil Pastels & Painting Monet's Water Lilies 🖍️ 48 color swatches, review & comparison

I'm trying out the Arrtx Artist Soft Oil Pastels (48 color set) with detailed swatches, blending & mixing tests, comparing them to all my other oil pastel brands, and taking a look at how complete this color selection is for this review.
... and then paint a simple, (hopefully!) beginner-friendly oil pastel landscape based on Monet's Water Lilies. Impressionist art is wonderful for testing new art materials, with their vibrant and eclectic colors leaving so much room for experimenting, and I hope you enjoy this step-by-step tutorial!

Really impressive considering the price point! It even works out better if you order the 72 set, as oppose to the 48. Some fabulous colours in there and I love that they all have the same consistency, that rarely happens in any set of oil pastels. Lovely piece of work. Thanks

Oil pastels continue to fascinate me. I myself don't enjoy using them but it's interesting watching others. It's starts looking like organized crayon scribbles and somehow turns into a type of painting. I don't mean this in any derogatory way, it's just an observation. The first strokes and very beginnings remind me of going to town as a kid with crayons on a page. It looks just as fun too, honestly. Lovely work as always!
