Why is this workout different from any other weight lifting or stretching workout? For instance, my husband is doing a 5x5 weight lifting program which includes squats and overhead presses. What benefit would he get from doing this Nitric Oxide workout separately?

My questions is no interval between reps so how is it HIIT cause HIIT asks for high-intensity bursts and then relaxing and repeating. Is it a substitute for Cardio too? Doing it thrice a day means 12 minutes of intense exercise, does this means 12 x 7 = 84 mins which means recommended 75 minutes of intense exercise that AHA recommends?
