Primitive Technology - Exploring Flint knapping, Cordage & Weaving - Real life Dr Stone - Minecraft

I've been very interested in primitive technology and science for a very long time now. I have this strange obsession of acquiring and making things from our natural world.

In this video I'm exploring Flint knapping. Indigenous people would use rocks to flake off pieces of Flint or Chert to create stone knives, arrows or spear heads.
I was tapping the rocks to hear this glass like sound. My mic didn't pick it up very well.

This was one of the main ways people obtained sharp tools for cutting until they discovered metals like copper.

I also explored weaving. It was a useful skill as you could use natural materials to weave mats or baskets for carrying food or other items.

Great Video!!! Good job on the flint knapping. Raven looked like she was having a blast. The basket weaving was awesome cant wait to see the finished product. And I'm gonna have to try that.

I may just be a delicate butterfly, but wouldn't sharpening the stones over your lap hurt you too??? Why not instead crack the stones over another, bigger rock?
