I'm relly happy to see that they are starting to release hand drawn illustration like armadimon or betelgammamon. Those are beautiful and it add so much more flavor to those cards. Hope they continue like that.

I have heard complaints from twitter and Rustmarrow's community section that Magnamon is under whelming considering he is a royal knight one of the most powerful digimon groups. Mostly I have heard he should be a level 6. Personally, I can see their point but this Digimon can be summoned from the effects of Leopardmon and both Mastemon. There is a possibly that it gets an option card that helps it greatly.

Magnamon looks really weird and kind-of nuts, remember, this is a 3 cost Champion with Veemon. So basically for 2 cost more than a Vanilla card you can just have a Blocker with 7k, 9k, maybe even 11k power out of nowhere that can keep a Digimon on the field even if it's destroyed. You're going to have matches where this thing comes out, blocks a digimon, dies, and then next turn you evolve Veemon up to Magnamon AGAIN and now you've got +2k power to work with to get revenge! That's not bad at all.

I'd say the only real big problem is that it isn't really synergistic for building up to a Mega quickly, but at the same time, it's a Blocker. It doesn't need to do that. And because it's a Blocker that can de-digivolve to survive a hit, that also means it can literally do its job and now you've still got a rookie that can speed-evolve up to get bigger evolutions going. There's honestly a lot to like here. I guess the only OTHER problem realistically is that this thing is one less card you're going to have to run Blue/Green for Paildramon, right? So it's going to be just that small bit harder to get that going, I guess, but it might not really matter just BECAUSE you have a really strong blocker on the field with some really powerful tech behind it.

I'm super interested in how the other armor forms will be handled, because if Flamedramon and Raidramon also have the Armor Break mechanic then you could literally attack the stack, hit a bad Security card, live, and then end your turn by evolving up into a Blocker with boosted attack that also unsuspends itself, which seems SUPER cool to me.

Hope Gankoomon and Examon get revealed soon so we have all 13 royal knights are finally in cards along with the rest of the missing demon lords so both groups are finally complete in card form.

I was kinda hoping armour digivolution would be a new type of digivolving that had differnt requirements that required more setup for stronger results

Hmm I was always pretty sure Magnamon was mega equivalent. Either way an anime Veemon(flamedramon, Raidramon, Magnamon) deck was what I’ve been waiting to make a blue deck.

That, or a Bond Gabumon IF I’m lucky enough to get one from a box. My Omnimon are reserved for my Turbo Greymon deck after all.

Ok if im understanding thus correctly. Magnamon can block a attack than if it would be deleted it can trash itself but keep what was underneath it on board. So does that mean it can essentially stop a Digimon that was piercing from check security because it didnt delete the magnamon

Wish Magnamon was a *level 6 card* (given how he stands on *equal footing with the other Royal Knights who are all *Mega or higher level* Digimon), but oh well he still looks awesome! :]

Armor R make the digimon soo much worth. Its basicallt 2 free attacks or 1 free attack + possible a 11k blocker that gives you 1 evol target for your next turn.

In a perfect world you will be able to attack with veemon, evol and stand, attack again and stand for some other effect to blocking

To me, it seems like they realized they power creeped rookie rush too much and the armor digimon are how they’re trying to make it relevant again. Only time will tell if it will actually boost the playstyle.

Extremely disappointed in Magnamon. Was really looking forward to it as potentially my first pure yellow deck but thats not happening now

On a more important note - Armour Release is a really cool way to interpret Armour Digimon! Great ludo-narrative take on it, I totally wasn't expecting that!
