Should our Sun be Red?
David Kipping of Cool Worlds joins John Michael Godier to discuss a few of his recent papers and videos. The Red Sky Paradox asks why we do not orbit a red sun when most stars in the Universe are red dwarfs. Also, "black swans" are one off events that capture our attention and imagination, these transient signals are unique because they represent something new in the universe. The most famous one being the 1977 Wow! Signal discovered by Dr. Jerry Ehman from observations by the Big Ear Radio Telescope.

Do you think the Wow! Signal will repeat if we observe long enough? Subscribe to Prof. Kippings channel and catch up on past episodes of him on Event Horizon.

Two of the most calming voices on YouTube. If they had Anton on at the same time it would cause a singularity.

I'd love to see a video with these two, Isaac Arthur, and Anton Petrov in it. That'd be too much for YouTube to handle.

A black swan is a statistical fat tailed event. Left sided fat tails are events that have negative impact. Right sided ones are events that have a positive effect. The more impactful the fat tailed event, the less obvious it will appear.
