Thoughts on Today's Verse...
The Holy Spirit is God's abiding gift, God's seal and promise. The Spirit is our assurance that what he began with Jesus' sacrificial death and our participation in it through faith and baptism, he will bring to completion at Jesus' return. But the world cannot understand this great promise, just like it cannot understand much of Scripture. Without the gift of the Holy Spirit, their eyes only see what they can touch with their fingers and cannot fully see what is true in God's heart and revealed in his Word.

My Prayer...
Father, I thank you for sending Jesus. Jesus, I thank you for sending the Spirit. Spirit, I thank you for never leaving me alone. As I am filled with the Spirit, O Lord, so fill me more and more until my will and my life more perfectly reflect your desires and character. Use me to bless others just as your presence now blesses me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

He teaches a narrow way because Jesus said it. Matthew 7:13-14 ESV “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.”

Those who seek to enter the narrow gate must do so by struggle and strain. No amount of effort saves us as salvation is by the grace of God through the gift of faith. Having said that, entering the narrow gate is still difficult because of the opposition of human “pride” & our natural love of sin.


You can be upset or bothered with this message, but he is teaching truth.

I'm gay and a reborn Christian. I've been celibate for five years now, and have repented for my past. I say that to preface what I want to say about Frank. I've watched a LOT of his videos, and I've seen nothing bigoted about him or his views. He's just stating what the Bible says logically and faithfully. He's not making personal attacks, but nevertheless, gay people take what he says far too personally. What gay and lesbian people need is to be humble and admit that they might just be wrong about their opinions and their feelings, and that just maybe, God is right. I've seen through the downside of the gay life, and it's not pretty. There's plenty that's sinful there, and the agenda of the gay community is not healthy for the world. What gay and lesbian people need is love and understanding, but at the same time, Christians need to remain true to the gospel message (and not cave to the lgbt agenda, and show their gay and lesbian friends and family members how God loves them and wants the best for them. It's not an easy thing to come to terms with the fact that one's intimate feelings are sinful, but this is not exclusive to gay people. ALL people have to deal with this same issue when they have feelings for people outside of marriage, when they are afraid of carrying their baby to full term, and all the other issues we find so difficult in this world. But without humility and honesty, no acknowledgement of one's true situation is possible. Please pray sincerely that all unbelievers will have the humility and self-honesty that it takes to admit that we have sinned and have fallen short.

I have a rather lengthy comment to this: 1. Anyone committing sin of any kind must repent and submit to God’s authority and grace if they are to receive eternity with Him. He will not however force that on anybody and anyone can go on living the way they do. Frank is just offering an alternative to eternal damnation for open rebellion of God’s standard. 2. Sound bites nor misplaced references make an argument against faith. Faith is a free choice for those who choose to receive God’s grace and mercy. 3. God does not NEED any of us to choose Him. If a person decides their standard for how to live their life is more important than God and that they have no desire to spend eternity with God, He will allow them to enter the kingdom of hell to continue to practice things abhorrent to Him for all eternity. He, however, will be sad that the person chose not to accept His grace and lordship because He loves all of His creation. 4. She would not have been there if she did not feel shame for her open rebellion against God. Her justifications for it are defense mechanisms for her guilt and neither have anything to do with Frank, but as Jesus said, “they will hate you because of me.”
