When the Dean says "George, Sit down, you can't protect them anymore" you could see the hurt in his eyes. Because this Man has acted as a Teacher, Mentor and almost like a Grandfather to these kids.

Everyone’s talking about how Cory was lucky to be suspended for only one day and I think a lot of us are missing the point: That was intentional. The university bylaws required the Dean to suspend him and the least amount of time he could’ve been suspended for was one day. That’s the Dean’s way of showing that she doesn’t approve of Stuart’s actions and is ruling in favor of Cory and Topanga. The actual punishment was probation, while the suspension was just a formality that needed to be filled.

1:30…. That line gets me every time when she credits Feeny for being the role model as a teacher. She pretty much stripped Stuart of any worth when she acknowledged his violation of trust and his lack of ability to, even *remotely* live up to the George Feenys out there.

Feeny was on the next level when he took on the position of a collegiate teacher and you could tell the Dean respected his effort to protect them but she also reminded him that they’re no longer in that little classroom at Adam’s High. They have to face those real world situations on their own when they answer for the choices and actions they made. But Feeny was always there to help and support in whatever way possible.

Here’s the thing that gets me. When Topanga told Cory what Stuart did, I could see the anger in his eyes. And when he walked out to TALK to Stuart, he stepped outside and asked him point blank if it was true. And when Stuart didn’t even try to hide it, Cory told him up front that he can’t do that because Topanga is going and is his girlfriend/future wife. What makes me angry is how Stuart flatly shot down Cory. And show no ounce of respect for him as a his student nor, as a man protecting his girlfriend. And even mocked even taunted Cory by saying:
“I am going to KEEP doing it. And there is NOTHING you can do to stop me.”
From Cory’s words in that office. That is what I find hard to swallow Cory did ALL the right things. Stuart, the moment he push Cory into hitting him. Lost all respect as a teacher he had with his students.

To Stuart, "Teacher" was just a title with some authority he thought he could exploit.
But Feeny has demonstrated numerous times, and the scene lays out clearly, that "Teacher" is role/responsibility to be taken seriously
