A content ID claim on the video made me take out the audio at the end. That was Howard's dad and wife circled in red.

NOBODY could play this role better than Jim Carrey!

The contacts burnt his eyes, the make-up made him feel buried alive, and yet somehow he managed to come in everyday for over 80 days, and endure hours of this. That is dedication.

The fact that Ron Howard went through it at least once shows great leader qualities.

Jim Carrey is so funny. You don't even notice that it is him with all that makeup which is cool

Does anyone know happened to “Max” after the movie was done shooting? I think thats so amazing that they rescued her from the shelter

Wait, Ron Howard HIMSELF went through the makeup just to know what it felt like and to endure what Jim Carrey went through? Where has this information been all my life? Makes me appreciate Ron Howard that much more. Directing Jim Carrey in makeup while in makeup himself? TRUE dedication and honestly friendship there.

I really enjoyed the video! Jim Carrey is a champ for enduring that makeup every day, and he's still the best Grinch ever! 😀

Jim Carrey was born to play this role. He was perfect for it. His physicality with the role, slapstick method, and overly expressive style was the perfect storm. I cannot imagine anybody else playing this role perfectly.

Mr. Jim Carrey arrived early every morning for 92 days, that's serious dedication.
How does he not have an Oscar?

All that effort was worth it. It's my favorite movie, and I watch it every holiday season. I have seen this movie so many times. And I really appreciate all the effort that was put into making this feature film.

I really miss Jim carrey playing these roles… he was magical and captivating to watch… we have no magic anymore in movies… wish he would come back and play these roles once more whilst he’s still young enough to do so

Also the line where the Grinch (Jim Carrey) says '6:30 dinner with me, I can't cancel that again' was improvised (Made up) by Jim Carrey (The Grinch). :)

To be honest when I was younger I thought the Grinch was animated

It's one of my most fav'd movies, learning it was so complex to make just makes me love it harder! Those hours of make up weren't for nothing, Jims grinch is a classic and will be rewatched to infinity

I remember my dad let me get the DVD when I was 10, and I was so excited. But we were going through a major power outage at the time and I had to wait days before I could watch it. It was on repeat for months! One of my favs.
