Just made a big marking mistake on my black fabric....sketched trouser leg wrong way on grain! Thought I'd blown it. But you came along concisely and non ramblingly saved the day! Thank you!✨

Hello from Victoria, BC, Canada. I was marking some grid lines on a quilt and then realized I had no idea on how to remove the chalk without washing the quilt!! Watched your video and went running to my bicycle saddlebags where I keep a stash of wet wipes (for bike emergencies) and tried them on the quilt. They worked GREAT!!! Will be off to the grocery store today and will now keep a stash of wet wipes in my sewing room. Thanks for great tips!!!

Claire- I just love your Tuesday tips! Thank you for these! Just an FYI - 19 years as a wedding photographer taught me that baby wipes will clean a spot off of a wedding dress in an emergency also— should be in every emergency wedding kit 😀

You've (hopefully) just saved another project being sent out. I have yellow tailor's chalk marking button placement... I'll try this! Many thanks ❤❤

OMG....it's 2021 and I just learned that this tip really works. I've removed blue tailor's chalk from beige cotton stretch fabric. Thank you for the helpful and very useful tip.

Wet wipes are great, if I had never had grandchildren I would never have thought of buying them. I always keep a pack (must be the ones with a plastic snap closing lid) in the car and in the house. Non perfume ones can even be used to clean your makeup off if you run out of your favourite cleanser.

Thanks for the tip. I am hoping that it works. I tried steaming and pressing it out with a little lightening of the yellow line, but not completely.. Thanks again

Thank you Claire fantastic idea I have gone back to tailors chalk and couldn't get rid of the line so thank you . Experiment is coming for me I shall also try this on fabric makers because I find it doesn't dissappear like it's supposed to after removing it with damp cloth

Ok so I just tried this but I did it with cottonell toilet wipes. Since the ones used in the video are baby wipes, I figured there'd be no difference. The toilet wipes left a lot of white lint on my black blazer. Maybe wet wipes don't leave lint but toilet wipes do. Also, it goes without saying you shouldn't use disinfecting wipes with bleach in them or they'll ruin colored cloth.

I'm glad this worked for some users - not for me. Must it be a specific kind of wet wipe? I tried baby wipes and hand sanitizing wipes (i.e., the kind we've all been using since COVID. All they do is smear the chalk.
