It seems pretty fast for a Japanese plane especially at low alt. At sea level it's faster than N1K2s. That speed difference vs other japanese planes can really make running away from it so much tougher.

The J2M3 (in tech tree) is probably the most noobfriendly prop in the higher tiers. It has little bit worse performance, which is still more then enough but this little thing has a pile of ammo hidden somewhere inside.

Just researched this plane, didn't know squat but new looking at it something was going to make me happy. Test flew it and loved how it handled, now thanks to this vid of yours I know I'm going to love this thing possible more then my zero and I love those planes.

Oh, so THIS is the plane I faced in my 109 K-4 yesterday! I saw its radial engine and tried to out climb it like I did the Jug and Fw 190, but this thing not only kept up with my climb, it was gaining on me, a K-4!
I remember panicking in chat, asking around for what plane it is and what weakness it has it as it gained on me by the minute.

Now it turns out all I needed to do was to level out and out run him -_-

The J2M is a joke XD, If you are low speed in a dogfight just go straight for a second and you will gain 200kph.

The j2m2 isn't that slow. It can go about 550 at the deck and 650 at 5500 meters. For example things like Spitfire mk IXs and G.55s a lot slower at low alt.
