My Uncle Mike passed away today in the Operating room while donating his organs. We had this song playing as Sammy was his favorite. He went many places to see him in concert. Long live Uncle Mike and his love of music.

This song takes me back to the eighties. My friends and I, in the mountains of southern West Virginia. Sitting around a camp fire, a cold beer in my hand, and a pretty dark haired girl sitting by my side, jamming to great tunes like this one on the radio. We had hair down to our shoulder's and steel in our eyes, but we never started trouble, but we did'nt take crap from anyone. Your buddy had your back, did'nt have to ask. Friends were loyal then, a few pals have went on to the other side. I miss them alot and think of them often. Be excellent to each other people, we are all we got, later and wishing good things for all.

One of my favorite Sammy Hagar tracks today (at my 59 years of age). Oddly, I never really liked it very much when it first came out - I was a rising high school senior. It kind of grew on me. I always thought "Standing Hampton" was his best album, but maybe this one is just as good.
