Luke 2:1-14 sermon: The Journey of Faith - the Road to Bethlehem (18th December 2022)

Hope is a decision we make, a choice to believe that God can take the adversity, the disappointment, the heartache, and the pain of our journeys and use these to accomplish His purposes.

This is precisely what we see happening in the account of the road to Bethlehem, which tells of the first Christmas when God sent His Son, Jesus, to be born as a baby to a carpenter couple. In the journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem and in giving birth in a manger comes the long-awaited Messiah’s birth. We see hope born in the midst of the mess, disappointment and pain.
