Lyrics

last night a supernatural thing:
a smoke with elvis
you wanna say it was a dream
well i think i would have known

so i bring a message from the king
on this new morning:
"you can go anywhere you please"

outside the smoking car i met
a man stepping off a platform
"my pathway's lost" i said
"where say you i should go?"

he said "go anywhere you please"
looking up at the morning
"you can go anywhere you please"

so i bring a message from the king
on this new morning -
"you can go anywhere you please"

something you cannot apprehend
is on your conscience -
when you feel the line is growing thin
between beautiful and strange
i bring a message from the king
on this new morning -
"you can go anywhere you please"

tell you a supernatural thing:
"you can go anywhere you please"
i bring a message from the king:
"you can go anywhere you please"

I have been a big fan, not sure what to say. For me, from Transistor Radio and 3-4 songs from every album up to Wasteland are classics, the best of the century. No singer songwriter comes even close to his melodies and delivery. Not digging the post 2020 stuff.
